She has devoted her life to the path of Yoga and meditation since she was young. Her primary approach in the practice of yoga is the deep connection to the source within. Since 1996 she began her pilgrimage by ashrams and monasteries, passing long periods in retirement. Offering service as trainer of Yoga and meditation in retreats with the Fundacion Siddha Yoga around the world, in New York, San Francisco, Berkeley Ca, Brazil, Spain, Italy, India and Mexico. Instructor of Yoga (RYT), registered in the National Yoga Alliance, which is affiliated to Anusara, certified in Siddha Yoga and Yoga Mandali School of Anusara Yoga New York.

Internationally awarded several times, Cynthia has received the BMI Award for Young Composers NY, an MTV Award Short Film, the First Place in three occasions in the National Contest of Celtic Harp of USA, the First in the Lichtrouten Festival of Germany, two awards by Creative Young People, one by Fonca-Conaculta and one from the International Jazz Harp Festival in USA, among many others.

Cultural Night: Cielo Abierto

Cielo Abierto is a project that offers a musical concept inspired by the Totonaca culture, by the sweetness, joy and heart that lives in its people and their traditions.

The composition is a collaboration of Deva Baumbach and Pedro Vadhar.

As mankind we need to find ourselves with our hearts. We know that listening to the path of the soul, Mother Earth will heal and us with it. In this time is important to create music to help this process and that can also inspire other artists to compose with the purpose of serving humanity.

Who’s Deva Baumbach?

Deva Baumbach

Deva is a multidisciplinary Mexican artist that combines various elements of the performing arts, in particular singing and theatrical dance.

Her creations speak of the poetry of life and promote the awakening of consciousness through art.

She is currently conducting a project of musical composition called “Hymns to the heart in los Altos de Chiapas” in languages Tzotzil and Tzeltal based on melodies, rhythms and prayers from the region of los Altos de Chiapas supported by the FONCA, whose intention is to strengthen the bridges between the different worlds we have in Mexico and promote the art of the spirit.

She has studied in different countries of the world Odissi dance, Butoh dance, voice, singing, theatrical dance, holistic healing techniques and Hatha Yoga. She has worked with various music and dance companies in Mexico and around the world.

The Synergy workshop is going to combine the arts of thai massage, partner stretching and flying with the goal of working trust, communication and the ability to play.

Who’s Francisco Morales?

Francisco Morales

Francisco, was born in Lima, Peru and worked for the national parks for a long time guiding people to nature. In many ways he feels that nature starts within us. After his yoga studies, capoeira and thai massage he forms the art of Sinergy. Now he travels teaching workshops in this art with the intention of amplifying a global community and improving communication and trust among people. He also started a NGO working with communities in Peru and Mexico.

For the past 28 years Helida S. Burstein has lived in Tepoztlán, Mexico cultivating her skills in Astrology, Dream Spell, Ceremonies, Workshops and Performances. She is dedicated to helping people develop awareness of consciousness and emotional depth to make the leap into this new time.

Life experience has been Helida´s greatest teacher, as a mother of four, building her own hand-made ecological house, and heading up numerous creative groups, she had countless opportunities to explore the value of a truly sustainable life.

Kathi believes that Breath is the Reflex to Live. To live is to walk through life, and this walk is a dance lead by a melody. Each person has their own melody deeply connected to their mission in life. Therefore your dance is your prayer.

The Improvisational Butoh Nature Spirit dance will bring each participant in touch with their own dance, to dance beyond ones limitations. Ancient genetic memories are accessed as participants learn to dance in their power, body mind spirit, and then to utilize this in their daily life.

Who’s Kathi von Koerber?

Kathi is a Dancer, healer and filmmaker from Germany/South Africa. She has danced her whole life and teaches internationally for the last 12 years. Kathi combines techniques of the Japanese Butoh dance form, with Bioenergetics, Tribal Trance dance, African Spiritisim, Native American practices, ancient voice practices, meditation and deep cellular spirit work.

Who’s Hernando Villa?

Hernando is a Colombian healer and environmentalist. Hernando has been offering his music and purification within different environments, such as prayer circles, workshops, tribal elder facilitation, and indigenous preservation projects and youth leadership. His prayers are focused on around the sweat lodge, pipe ceremonies, and medicinal cleansing sessions.

Cultural Night: “Ridden by Nature”

The film captures the collision of two worlds, the contrast of human life and ancient earth. Although humans have so much power over natural resources, we appear minuscule and insignificant in the presence of these natural landscapes.The film spans both art and activism, reaching out to environmentalists, artists, or anyone who is involved with awakening to human’s potential in such a critical point in history. The Butoh performance was created as a tool to ignite dialouge about humanity’s current relationship to the natural world.

These dynamics will take you to intern spaces little explored and in consequence help to awaken your powers of connection, intuition and clairvoyance. The activity of percussing simple and repetitively a drum or singing a vocal repetitive pattern, creates a subsonic kinesthetic vibration that affects the participants positively; contributes to the rhythmic alignment of our brain cells, our biological rhythms, vibratory synchronization and dynamic waves from both hemispheres.

Luix Saldaña

Creator of the Rythmic Culture concept and guided by the African saying that goes “if you can talk you can sing, if you can walk you can dance, if you’ve got a heart and can listen, you can play any instrument”. He’s a passionate missionary of the chanting and percussion circles where his main goal is to open forgotten doors and to show people their own rhythmic power.

Who’s Marién Luévano?

Marién Luévano

Born in Torreon, Coahuila she had her first encounter with the Flamenco art in Tepoztlán, Morelos thanks to the presence of recognized dancers Amaya.

Marién Luévano started her artistic process when she was 15 years old and has a significant number of choreographies that have been presented in forums in Mexico and Spain. As a performer she has worked in the most representative tablados in Mexico, Spain, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland, Morocco and Japan.

Workshop: The CLOWN world of the BUFFOON

Our own clown resides in the freedom of being able to be one self and make others laugh, of accepting our truth.

A child within us has grown and society won’t let us show him or her; is the scene that will enable us better than within life itself.

We will have fun reproducing as buffoons, the life of other men and women through games and “crazy stuff”, through that insanity needed to know better the truth.

One accepts from the crazy person what we can’t accept from the “normal” person.

Who’s Oscar Flores Acevedo?

Oscar Flores Acevedo

Oscar has been an artistic creator for 28 years now. He studied the Dramatic Arts career in the INBA where he graduated in 1981. He was a scholar helped by the French government and the INBA to study at L’Ecole Jacques Lecoq in Paris, France from 1982 to 1984. He was a scholar in FONCA and FOECA.

He has taken diverse acting, directing, singing and piano workshops in several countries such as Canada, Italy, England and Poland.

He also studied Kathakali Dance with AstadDeboo in India, Butoh Dance with Kathy van Körber and Daisuke Yoshimotouno, one of the main exponents of Butoh in Japan.

During these 28 years, has been part of the direction, acting, sound, stage design, make up and production of many plays. He has given life on stage to his clown character “Fiasco”. He has created many different characters for special events and for television and has taught in creativity and collective theatre workshops for over 10 years.

Crepúsculo is a one person performance by Oscar Flores inspired on the praise of the soul expressed by F.Nietzche, author of Zaratustra and some texts of their followers such as Woody Allen and NahuiOllin. Crepúsculo is a poetic text that handles an acute critique but with a strong sense of humor since the main character is Fiasco, a clown that confronts the romantic love to the real world.
